Sew Anxious

I've always wanted to be able to see an outfit and go home and recreate it or just make one from scratch. My mom was was a master seamstress. She could sew any and everything. From curtains to clothes the sewing machine was always going in my house. Of course I never picked it up. Now that I'm an adult I am determined to become a sewnista! I bought my first machine last year but since I had no clue what I was doing it sat in my dining room. This year I am determined to sew. I dusted my machine off, found a sewing group and I'm on my way!

ok I will soooo be tracking your progress. I jumped into the world of sewing and lets just say I should have strolled first...jumping didn't quite work out for me..lol
I still left the house in my outfit...what a mistake..anyway I hope you do so well. I will certainly go back to sewing I only have a TON of material left and designs to last an eternity...lol

Wow I would love to have the talent of sewing and I can't wait to see what you come up with! I was in a bind last summer trying to do something different for a dress I bought for my reunion and a woman in the fabric store made it happen free of charge! My dress looked fabulous and since then I have high regard for those who can throw down with needle and thread!

@ product junkie diva - I should be right there with you on that stroll. I don't know where I got the idea that I could just go full steam knowing full well I can't even read a pattern properly.

@ erica b - Thanks so much! I absolutely love your site!!

@ amina - I used to crochet back in the day. Well...I really only made things for my Barbies. They had a ton of blankets...lol I really want to try knitting someday. I love watching the ladies knit on the train during my commute.

@ just_wondering - I hope to get to the point where I can just envision something and then make it!
